About CL Stars

 

The mission of the CL Athletics Stars Track Club is to foster the development of youth track & field and to provide long-term growth opportunities to athletes through their association with the sport.

Our youth development philosophy is balanced and not overly obsessed with winning. However, the achievements of the club are impressive, more than one third of our athletes qualify for the Region 12 Championship and the National Junior Olympics Championship each year. More importantly, over 95% of our athletes have gone on to college and many have received academic and/or athletic scholarships.

The club averages about 150 athletes per year (ages 7 – 18). Our club size allows coaches to give athletes individual instruction and guidance. The leadership fosters teamwork, mutual respect, encouragement and a fun family atmosphere.

The CL Athletics Stars Track Club is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt and non-profit organization.

Our objectives for all athletes will be to place a significant amount of time and effort into learning and understanding the fundamentals of track and field. This includes basic training concepts, proper diet, running styles, various types of events, and track terminology just to name a few. We are currently assembling a select group of highly trained professionals in all aspects of track and field to train and develop our young athletes so that they are prepared for the challenges that lie ahead.

We believe that communication is one of the most valuable tools available today that doesn’t have a price tag associated to it. With that being said, effective communication between our management, coaches, parents, and athletes are crucial to our success. We encourage you to utilize any or all of the available forms of communication within this website.
