HUNTSVILLE - Jessica Fisher will be one of the newest members to be inducted in the Sam Houston State Hall of Honor this fall. Fisher is one of eight men and women who will be inducted on Nov. 9.

Fisher was a member of the track and field team from 2007 to 2011. She was a 17-time All-Southland selection both indoor and outdoor and claimed nine gold medals at the Southland Championships during her running career.

Fisher made an immediate impact her freshman year, winning both the 60-meter dash and the 200-meter dash at the Southland Indoor Championship to earn conference Freshman of the Year.

She still holds the school record in the 60-meter dash and has posted four of the seven fastest times in school history. Outdoors, she is the record holder in the 200-meter dash and was part of the 4x400 relay team that holds the school record.

The Hall of Honor Induction Ceremony is presented by the Bearkat Champions Fund in conjunction with the Sam Houston Letterwinner's Association.
